About Dr.Hoopes

◈ The aim of general dentist James Hoopes, DDS, is to provide patients with the best dental care possible. At Johnson Ranch Family Dentistry and Orthodontics, a state-of-the-art dental facility located in San Tan Valley, Arizona, Dr. Hoopes uses the latest equipment and cutting-edge technology to provide patients with the highest quality dental care available at an affordable price. 

◈ Dr. Hoopes completed his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at Arizona State University in Tempe. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in Kansas City, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and received the Rinehart Foundation Scholarship.

◈ After earning his dental degree, Dr. Hoopes trained at Aspen Dental, where he eventually became Managing Clinical Director, and honed his expertise in aesthetic crowns and bridges, dental implants, root canals, dentures, and oral surgery. He then worked as the sole dentist provider at Rio Rancho Dental Associates, located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. 

◈ He is affiliated with the American Dental Association, New Mexico Dental Association, and Arizona Dental Association. He also participates in Dental XP Continuing Education and Viva Learning Continuing Education. 

◈A Mesa AZ native, he’s been married to his beautiful wife Beth for 19 years and together have 4 awesome children ages 15, 12, 8, and 6. As a family they enjoy hiking, mountain biking, swimming, rappelling and spending time together.

She has been in dental industry for over 20 years. Her career launched as a clinical assistant in San Francisco area where she grew up. The last 15 years she has served in the dental field in office operations. “I have been married for over 30 years to my husband David. We have two daughters and also a baby labradoodle Max.”

She’s very passionate about her job. With 15 years in dentistry, she enjoys imparting her dental knowledge to patients about oral health. “I’m an outdoor girl! I love boating, fishing, and buggy rides into the beautiful AZ desert with my husband and son.”

Has been at a hygienist since 2013. He received his Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Weber State University with Honors from the hygiene program and Cum Laude overall from the university. I grew up in Carsten Alberta Canada. “I love Arizona sun you can find me out on the lake wake boarding with my wife and my eight children.”

Patty is an AZ native and has been in dentistry for 31 years. She loves getting to know her patients and their family. In her spare time she enjoys taking care of her mini farm and riding horses with her husband

Graduate from Phoenix College with honors and has been practicing as a clinical hygienist since 2017. She’s passionate about providing patient centered care and helping patients improve their oral health. “Outside of my love for dental hygiene, I love hiking, exercising, sports, woodworking and spending time with my husband and two daughters.”

Married for 20 years, sports loving mom of two boys, a baseball player and a football player. We love to be outdoors, camping , fishing, and hiking!
